Our History

Frank Casilio and Sons, Inc. was established by Frank Casilio a concrete contractor in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1938. He began the company buying a 1938 Ford with a Concrete Transport 1.5 cubic yard open top mixer to help himself in his contracting business. Being able to transport concrete ready-mixed by truck allowed the company to grow from contracting and on site mixing to include delivery service.

The first drum mixer was purchased in 1941, a Worthington 3 cubic yard mixer. By 1946, the second generation of Frank Casilio's three children were working at the company when the fleet had grown to 8 trucks. Industry standards were set by Frank Casilio and Sons by introducing a central mix batch plant in 1952.

Through the years, the business grew to include a larger fleet and two additional batching locations in the Lehigh Valley.

With the business operating in "Mack Truck Country" it was only natural that Casilio's would be one of the first to own a DM 600 series tri-drive truck in 1967 with a Jaeger 10 cubic yard mixer.

The Mack fleet continued to grow throughout the 1970's with the third generation of Casilio's in the business and again setting industry standards by utilizing computer batching systems.

Frank Casilio and Sons is now run solely by the daughter of the late John Casilio, Maria Medei. It is evident she upholds the same dedication, work ethic & passion as her father did, maintaining Casilio's reputation as the unmistakable leader in the industry.

We are proud to serve more than a 20+ radius of Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey with four batch plants, material hauling, and a fleet of more than 30 trucks.

We also operate a concrete recycling plant, Crushcrete, which is run by Maria's son, Tony Medei. The apple does not fall far from the family tree, as Tony operates Crushcrete with the same standards for quality and service that he has been taught from a very young age.

Throughout the generations, delivering quality products and service to our customers has remained Casilio Concrete's top priority!
